If you would realy like an outward facing carrier, the Ergobaby Omni carrier does it really well - baby will be well supported in their hips and spine. However, please note that even in a well supported carrier like this one, outward facing is only advised for 15-20 mins at a time. Parent-facing in much more beneficial to baby so just use the outward-facing function mindfully. Be sure to do the 'pelvic tuck' when baby is outward facing. Outward facing is suitable from about 5-6months onwards, once baby has perfect neck control and also is tall enough to clear the top of the carrier!
Whilst i see the pull of the 'air mesh' versions for carriers, i personally prefer to stick to the natural fabric versions (usually cotton) as the fabirc naturally breathes and also absorbs sweat. The air mesh versions are made of synthetic fabric, which can be sweaty, but with little holes to increase the air cirulation. It is of course personal preference!
