Close Parents's loved and trusted Caboo, has long been the UKÕs favourite newborn carrier. It provides the optimum positioning for babies throughout the 4th trimester (5lbs+) and beyond, supporting them in the best physiological position for their developing hips and spine.

Caboo is the original sling re-invented, easy to use alone it simply pops on over the head like a t-shirt giving you all the great positioning, support and flexibility of a stretchy wrap but without the headache of tying. Once on it tightens down to fit baby and wearer exactly thanks to the clever rings. This means it goes between parents with ease, giving you the perfect fits every single time without tying, fiddly clips or buckles to worry about.

The Caboo sling can be used from birth, or 2.3 kg up to 14.5 kgs.

The + Organic and Cotton blend versions differ slightly from Lite and both offer a little more support in the back panel and more generous sizing, the little one is always close enough to kiss in the Caboo. It is like one long hands-free hug with a baby, leaving you free to get on with your day whilst meeting their needs.

The soft wide straps make carrying really comfortable for you both, they also enable you to tuck your little oneÕs head in cheek to the chest providing the very best integral head support during those early weeks and months. This makes it the perfect place for safe daytime naps at home or on the go!

You will get the most from the closeness a carrier offers in the 4th trimester. Routine babywearing for just a few hours every day during this time can help you both bond with your little one as well as reduce periods of crying and fussing.

All the newborn CabooÕs are certified as Ôhip-healthyÕ by the IHDI and also comply naturally with the T.I.C.K.S guidelines for safe carrying. There are multiple upright ÔhandsfreeÕ carrying positions from day one through to independence including a supportive and discreet feeding position.

I love that the Close Caboo range is so quick and easy to put on, yet is really snuggly for your newborn too. It provides the comfort of a stretchy wrap, yet the convenience of a scructured carrier.

While baby is newborn and still in the fetal position with legs bunched up, keep baby ?s legs inside the carrier. After around 1-2 months old, once baby starts to straighten their legs down you can have their legs on the outside.

I do find that as baby get heavier, if you are wearing for extended periods, it can put strain on your back. This is the same of most non-structured carriers. Although you can use this carrier in a hip carry too which can be suitable from around 6+ months.

Nursing in this carrier is easy, either just loosen the fabric through the rings to allow baby to drop lower down to his/her head it at your chest height (baby nursing upright), or switch baby to a cradle hold position.

  • How do I wash my Caboo carrier?
  • Washing/care instructions can be found on the inside of the cross. We recommend to wash at 30 degrees.
  • Will the rings clunk in the washing machine?
  • Yes, but don?t worry! It won?t cause your machine or the carrier any harm. If you prefer, you can pop it inside a pillow case which will muffle the noise and protect the drum.
  • How do I dry my Caboo Carrier?
  • Hanging it on the line is best. But if it is winter or you don?t have a line or a radiator you may tumble dry on low heat occasionally to finish off the drying, but for environmental reasons and damage to the fabric we do not recommend this routinely.
  • Does it need to be ironed?
  • No the carrier doesn?t need to be ironed and shouldn?t be, as the raised print may be damaged by the heat of an iron.
